In this role, you will backport security fixes to company-maintained stable versions of these projects. You will also have the opportunity to work with and contribute to major open-source projects such as Apache HTTPD, OpenSSL, and MySQL.<a href="https://tuxcare.com/extended-lifecycle-support/" target="_blank"></a>What will you do:<ul> <li>Backport security and bug fixes from newer upstream versions or develop custom patches as needed.</li> <li>Create reproductions and tests for identified vulnerabilities.</li> <li>Contribute to upstream projects.</li> <li>Work on a range of open-source projects, including Apache httpd, Python, OpenSSL, and more.</li> <li>Automate routine processes such as monitoring CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), applying patches, and conducting tests.</li> </ul> Please note: This is not an Embedded Developer role. The position does not involve firmware or hardware-level programming.<ul> <li>A minimum of 4 years of experience with C programming.</li> <li>Proficiency in GNU/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.</li> <li>Experience with build systems such as autotools, make, and cmake.</li> <li>Familiarity with git-based development workflows.</li> <li>Knowledge of additional languages such as C++, C#, or Rust is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with Linux debuggers (gdb, ftrace, probes, bpf, etc.) is a plus.</li> </ul>
