It is available through open-source or on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.  </div>About the Team  The CI Infrastructure Engineering team builds and operates the systems that enable continuous testing of the open-source ClickHouse database and ensure its seamless integration into the ClickHouse Cloud offering. Our work is critical to maintaining the quality, performance, and reliability of both our OSS and cloud products. We’re looking for highly skilled and experienced software engineers to join us. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain CI infrastructure as a cohesive system—making it more scalable, efficient, reliable, and developer-friendly.  You’ll help shape the foundation that supports rapid innovation across the ClickHouse ecosystem, while ensuring stability and confidence in every change contributed by thousands of developers worldwide.  What Will You Do?  <ul> <li>Architect and build robust, scalable infrastructure on top of public cloud services to support continuous delivery of the open-source ClickHouse database and the ClickHouse Cloud offering. </li> <li>Develop platforms and tooling for continuous quality assurance, artifact delivery, and large-scale automated testing. </li> <li>Streamline CI/CD workflows and enhance the developer experience through improved automation and visibility. </li> <li>Collaborate closely with the ClickHouse core database and security teams to tightly integrate CI processes into the overall development lifecycle. </li> <li>Monitor, debug, and optimize the CI infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. </li> </ul>   About You  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant systems. </li> <li>Strong software development experience in Python for automation, tooling, and orchestration. </li> <li>Familiarity with project management and version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab, along with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related workflows, and solid understanding of Git and its advanced capabilities.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Solid understanding of Docker.</li> <li>Experience with basic database systems and strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AI tools and writing prompts for them. Strong interest in developing integrations with AI tools and LLM agents.</li> <li>Readiness to occasionally read code in C++ for reference and better understanding of our internals, with a solid understanding of compiling, linking, and debugging processes. Familiarity with C/C++/Rust or other low-level languages and their build systems.</li> <li>Proven track record of developing, shipping, and maintaining large-scale technical projects in fast-paced environments. </li> <li>Communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across time zones with a globally distributed team. </li> <li>A strong problem-solver with solid debugging skills, and a deep understanding of production-level systems and failure modes. </li> </ul>  <div><h3>Compensation</h3> For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. In certain locations, such as Los Angeles, CA, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, the Seattle, WA, Area, and the New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply, as listed. These salary ranges reflect what we reasonably and in good faith believe to be the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting.
