Role or department specific technology needs may vary and will be listed as requirements in the job description. </div>About the Team The Enterprise Engineering team owns foundational services that support user identity and access, study ingestion and orchestration, organization configuration, and enterprise reporting. We build for scale, reliability, and clear traceability, enabling medical providers and partners to deliver consistent, evidence-based care with confidence. Engineers on this team operate with a high degree of autonomy and are trusted to make architectural decisions that directly impact enterprise scalability, compliance, and long-term maintainability.   TTC*: $172,000 - $207,000 *Total Target Compensation (TTC): Total Cash Compensation (including base pay, variable pay, commission, bonuses, etc.). Responsibilities <ul> <li>Develop scalable backend services (Node.js, TypeScript) and performant user-facing applications (React).</li> <li>Design extensible system architectures and make pragmatic trade-offs that balance performance, security, and maintainability.</li> <li>Own full lifecycle delivery of complex features, from architectural planning and API design to UI implementation and post-release observability.</li> <li>Ensure high availability and observability of our services; improve alerting, logging, and incident response across the stack.</li> <li>Set and uphold strong engineering standards via code reviews, technical mentorship, and design documentation.</li> <li>Partner with product, design, and stakeholders to align engineering with business goals and user needs.</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotations and help evolve our operational practices to minimize downtime and maximize team velocity.</li> <li>Lead technical design reviews and system decomposition efforts across teams.</li> <li>Proactively identify risks and gaps in operational or architectural resilience, and drive durable improvements.</li> <li>Collaborate closely across engineering to reduce knowledge silos and ensure continuity in critical systems through cross-training and documentation.</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews, driving long-term reliability improvements across systems.</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li> <li>8–12 years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in backend systems (Node.js, PostgreSQL) and experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript).</li> <li>Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable systems in production environments.</li> <li>Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through reviews and design feedback.</li> <li>Strong systems thinking with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs in scalability, reliability, and maintainability.</li> <li>Experience designing for observability and operational excellence (e.g., logs, alerts, dashboards, runbooks).</li> <li>Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.</li> </ul> Preferred <ul> <li>Familiarity with regulated domains (e.g., healthcare, fintech) and high-availability infrastructure.</li> <li>Experience with containerized cloud environments (Docker, AWS ECS/EKS), CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code.</li> <li>Exposure to event-driven architecture or microservices with asynchronous workflows.</li> </ul><div>Working at Cleerly takes HEART.
