The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. This includes enhancing and supporting applications using CICS, DB2, OPC Schedular, and Changeman.</li><li>EDI Solution Implementation: Implement and optimize EDI solutions to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications for EDI integrations.</li><li>Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve system issues with minimal operational disruption, providing production support for complex applications, including troubleshooting, developing, testing, and implementing fixes.</li><li>Data Management: Work with EDI documents and possess hands-on mapping experience. Analyze complex datasets and develop effective solutions for data exchange.</li><li>Compliance and Standards: Ensure systems comply with NACHA standards for ACH operations and other regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP) is essential.</li><li>Documentation: Develop documentation, including EDI specifications, mapping documents, and standard operating procedures. Create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals for mainframe applications.</li><li>Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions. Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. </li></ul>Required Technical Skills:<ul><li>Mainframe Programming Languages: Proficiency in COBOL is fundamental, along with experience in JCL, CICS, and DB2. Knowledge of Assembler may also be required.</li><li>Mainframe Systems and Utilities:<ul><li>Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems such as IBM z/OS, and potentially z/Linux.</li><li>Databases: Expertise in DB2 and SQL is crucial. Familiarity with VSAM files management is beneficial.</li><li>Tools: Experience with TSO/ISPF, MQ, z/OS APIs, OPC Schedular, and Change man.
