The Private Equity and Real Estate Research Analyst will be a member of the Global Alternatives research team which is focused on the diligence and structuring of compelling private equity and real estate opportunities for distribution to Citi Wealth’s client base. The position will involve the analysis, diligence, structuring, and syndication of private equity and real estate investment opportunities to address the needs of our global wealth client base. The position will focus on evergreen (semi-liquid) investment strategies including tender offer funds, interval funds, non-traded/private BDCs, and private REITS.The position will lead the investment process from investment due diligence, structuring, legal negotiation, and ultimately obtaining any committee approvals. In addition, this role will be responsible for helping to educate Citi Wealth’s global banker, investment counselor and financial advisor base on existing and newly launched opportunities to Citi Wealth’s global client base. The ideal candidate will have significant private equity and real estate investment experience, experience with evergreen strategies, be comfortable working on multiple transactions at once, an ability to navigate a global consumer client base, and strong presentation skills.Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead the diligence, structuring, and negotiation of private equity and real estate investment opportunities for Citi Wealth clients.</li><li>Lead and support the distribution efforts of private equity and real estate products for the Citi Wealth clients.</li><li>Prepare and maintain relevant offering materials including marketing decks, fact cards, FAQs, etc. to assist in marketing efforts of newly launched investment offerings</li><li>Conduct training sessions and follow ups for bankers, investment counselors, and financial advisors for newly launched investment offerings.</li><li>Provide verbal and written updates to clients and respond to inquiries on investment offerings.</li><li>Ongoing monitoring of legacy platform private equity and real estate investments including quarterly updates</li><li>Provide timely and frequent updates to global senior management.</li><li>Understand and provide investment solutions to rapidly changing alternatives investment environment.</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Location: New York, NY; Boston, MA</li><li>BS/BA in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related field required; master’s degree preferred; CFA preferred.</li><li>8-10 years relevant experience in real estate, private equity, or investment management.</li><li>Prior experience investing in private equity or real estate investment funds; particularly with evergreen investment strategies.</li><li>Superior written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.</li><li>Must be able to work as an effective, collaborative team member in a global environment as well as independently lead tasks as necessary.</li><li>Demonstrated problem solving ability and drive to leverage available resources to create solutions and suggestions for senior team members.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel (modeling), Microsoft Word (investment memos), and Microsoft PowerPoint (presentations).</li><li>Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE), Series 7, Series 66 required</li></ul>------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Private Client Product Services------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Investment Manager Research------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$192,000.00 - $288,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
