Job DescriptionThe Infrastructure Solution Architect is a seasoned professional role, who applies in-depth IT knowledge and experience towards gathering and analyzing business / application requirements in support of Citi financial services. With the goal to design strategic target state architecture, using defined standards to maximize performance and capacity, while driving IT costs down. They would be familiar with infrastructure Platform as a Service (PaaS), providing IT services within the private cloud, integrating orchestration and automation to quickly deliver solutions. A general knowledge of the financial services industry and how technology supports and enables those services is extremely beneficial.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supporting CTI businesses as a trusted advisor for all solution tasks.</li><li>Engage in routine discussions with stakeholders (DBA, SA, Build, Business) regarding App/Business requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with application architects, developers, DevOps, and data teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.</li><li>Ability to take ALL elements of a solution design and capture in both a narrative and diagram (Visio) form in such a way that stakeholders can understand.</li><li>Must grasp the technical aspects of an applications RTO / RPO when designing an infrastructure solution.</li><li>Evaluate new database technologies, tools, and services to continuously improve data architecture.</li><li>Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all database-related technologies and integration patterns.</li><li>Define and enforce database security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance strategies.</li><li>Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers in best practices around data architecture and governance.</li><li>Support the organization’s cloud transformation initiatives with a strong understanding of cloud-native and managed database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.).</li><li>Drive innovation and performance optimization initiatives across all database platforms.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Understanding how application requirements determine infrastructure type and size, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities.</li><li>Experience as a Systems Admin or Systems Engineer is preferred. Experience in root-cause analysis techniques in a highly complex Data Center environment.</li><li>Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.</li><li>Ability to develop working relationships, manage multiple projects with different priorities.</li><li>Team player with willingness to learn the latest technology, while taking initiative to master new tasks quickly.</li><li>Public Cloud Certifications is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB – with practical experience in high-volume, mission-critical environments.</li><li>Hands-on experience designing data replication, partitioning, sharding, indexing strategies, and stored procedures.</li><li>Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.</li><li>Solid understanding of NoSQL technologies, distributed systems, and microservices-based architectures.</li><li>Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services.</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul>Critical Competencies/Preferred Certifications:<ul><li>Effective communication skills to guide meetings, provide direction, conduct presentations, while interfacing with business sponsors.</li><li>Oracle Certified Architect / DBA</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert</li><li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional</li><li>MongoDB Certified DBA</li><li>TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture framework certification</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor Degree or 2-4 years relevant experience working with Enterprise systems.</li></ul>------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Infrastructure------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Irving Texas United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$125,760.00 - $188,640.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
