Job DescriptionAn Innovation Labs Digital Assets Platform Senior Engineer must be a highly motivated and proactive hands-on engineer obsessed with quality (Quality Engineer), have a proven ability and experience working with enterprise applications within the financial services industry. The successful candidate will be part of the core team continuing to build our Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, highly technical, and resourceful team player who can comfortably work with a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi’s larger software engineering network.We are looking for a candidate who understands quality assurance of enterprise applications in a holistic way (functional, performance, reliability, resiliency, security). The successful individual must understand the value quality assurance across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with quality assurance of web3 applications is a plus.What you will do (not limited to):<ul><li>To create comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and specific test cases to validate software functionality and performance</li><li>To conduct manual and automated testing for different interfaces (e.g., UI, API, Messaging) to find defects, ensuring software functions as intended and meets quality standards</li><li>To identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring clear communication of issues and their resolutions to the development team</li><li>To develop, maintain and manage automated test scripts and test frameworks improve testing efficiency and coverage (happy and unhappy paths)</li><li>To develop, maintain and manage automated synthetic transactions to validate and monitor functionality to identify issues before users do</li><li>To know and properly use best and common practices, and design patterns for web3 applications</li><li>To work closely with software developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements, discuss test findings, and resolve issues</li><li>To contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of testing</li><li>To monitor the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is maintained at every stage, from design to delivery</li><li>To properly use collaborative tools to manage and deliver work in a distributed team</li><li>To contribute and maintain tech documents for code and applications built and maintained</li><li>To be a team player and properly communicate in a distributed team</li></ul>What well need from you:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering; MS or PhD in computer science, or related discipline</li><li>10 or more years of experience in enterprise and web application quality assurance</li><li>Experience assessing and testing for functional and non-functional requirements</li><li>Experience with types of testing like unit testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, etc.</li><li>Experience automating tests for different interfaces (e.g., UI, API, Messaging)</li><li>Experience with testing data tools and testing data attributes (e.g., diversity)</li><li>Experience with applications developed using Java (Backend), AngularJS (Frontend)</li><li>Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit and/or TestNG</li><li>Experience with common automation and CI/CD tools for Java</li><li>Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, Gatling</li><li>Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, Spring Boot Actuator</li><li>Experience with observability tools like Grafana, Kibana, AppDynamics</li></ul>Nice to haves:<ul><li>Prior experience with Web3 applications</li><li>Prior experience in the financial service industry</li><li>Prior experience using AI Agents for quality assurance</li><li>Prior experience with NodeJS and JavaScript</li><li>Familiarity with Web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS</li><li>Familiarity with common and best practices for Web3 applications</li><li>Familiairty with Test Driven Development (TDD)</li><li>Familiarity of basics of DevOps and containerize applications</li><li>Familiarity of Agile Methodology and Scrum</li></ul>------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$142,320.00 - $213,480.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
