The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities:The role will be responsible for review, analysis, design, and development; planning and Sprint oversight, supporting AGILE development. Responsibilities are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:<ul><li>Manage application development deliverables for the entire Life cycle of the development Project - both Waterfall and Agile models as may be applicable for each project assigned</li><li>Gather technical requirements, code specifications, test plans and results; and other deliverables required for multiple projects.</li><li>Perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of applications under minimal supervision</li><li>Provide expertise in technical analysis and be able to resolve complex issues through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes</li><li>Ensure alignment to architectural assertions and constantly look for opportunities to modernize application</li><li>Work effectively with remote teams, with a focus on fostering positive working relationships</li><li>Integrate with a team of highly seasoned application developers</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2-4 years of hands-on experience working in Mainframe technologies, Java technologies is a must</li><li>Demonstrable experience having led and directed teams</li><li>Experience with full project life cycle from establishing requirements through delivery and production</li><li>Well versed with 3 tier architecture/ component layer architecture</li><li>Demonstrable analytical and quantitative skills</li></ul>Core competencies:Strong Microservices Skills<ul><li>Microservices – Java/Spring Boot OR Java/Spring Boot/Angular</li><li>MongoDB, Oracle, Webservices - APIs</li><li>Experience on DevOps Tools - Bitbucket, Jenkins</li><li>Experience on Linux/AIX, Shell Scripting, .NET</li><li>Knowledge of Content Management Tools, JIRA, Confluence</li><li>Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Open Shift, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Event Driven Architecture</li><li>PLUS – OpenText Exstream or Messagepoint or IBM DocHub</li></ul>Additional Highly Desirable Competencies:<ul><li>Experience working with business critical, high volume, and complex enterprise systems</li><li>Experience in working on cross platforms or legacy modernization projects</li><li>Knowledge of and experience with automating development processes and testing</li></ul>Education:Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems; Computer Technology; Computer Information Systems; Computer Science or a demonstration of programming experience.  This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
