We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Applications Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in developing, enhancing  &amp; implementing our global payments platform. This role requires a strong techno functional background, experience with various payment schemes and messaging formats, and proven leadership skills.  You will be responsible for providing technical leadership across multiple large-scale and complex software solutions, ensuring seamless integration with in-house and vendor solutions to create a comprehensive platform that meets key business needs.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide technical leadership for multiple large-scale/complex software solutions, extending the existing platform through custom development, customization, and integration with internal and vendor solutions.</li><li>Lead the implementation of a payments product processor across multiple countries, designing robust hardware and software solutions.</li><li>Design, code, test, document, and implement application releases as part of the development team.</li><li>Work extensively with various payments schemes (e.g., RTGS/ACH) and messaging formats (e.g., ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT).</li><li>Adhere to CBPR+ guidelines for cross-border payments.</li><li>Build enterprise-level transaction-based systems with a focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability, and performance.</li><li>Collaborate with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver high-quality software within project schedules.</li><li>Proactively communicate risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns to the Development Project Manager.</li><li>Comply with Citis System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Information Security requirements.</li></ul>Leadership Skills:<ul><li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.</li><li>Demonstrated sense of responsibility and ability to deliver quickly.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate and document technical and functional specifications.</li><li>Proactive problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.</li><li>Negotiation, difficult conversation management, and prioritization skills.</li><li>Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities.</li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and business skills.</li><li>Ability to promote teamwork and build strong relationships within and across global teams.</li><li>Commitment to continuous process improvement, particularly in code quality, testability, and reliability.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Significant years of relevant experience in software development.</li><li>Proven experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.</li><li>Experience with Java microservices.</li><li>Track record of successfully managing and implementing projects.</li><li>Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.</li><li>Experience with payment processing systems and technologies is highly desirable.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.</li></ul>What we can offer you:By joining Citi Dublin, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed) and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits that support you (and your family) to be well, live well and save well.
