You will ensure the performance, integrity, security, and availability of our databases and data pipelines. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and data integration frameworks. You will work closely with software engineers, analysts, and platform teams to support data-driven decision-making and ensure the reliability of our enterprise data systems.</span></div><h3>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable database environments, primarily in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.</li><li>Monitor and optimize database performance, query efficiency, and storage management.</li><li>Manage backup, restore, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.</li><li>Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric Dataflows, or Databricks.</li><li>Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver robust data integration solutions.</li><li>Manage Azure data solutions including Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, and Blob Storage.</li><li>Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaaC) scripts using Terraform to provision and manage data services.</li><li>Implement automation for monitoring, patching, and deployment of data infrastructure across cloud environments.</li><li>Enforce data security, encryption, and access control policies across all data layers.</li><li>Mentor junior DBAs and data engineers, sharing knowledge and driving best practices in data architecture and engineering.</li></ul><h3>Competencies &amp; Role/Education Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Experience: 6+ years in a DBA or data engineering role with enterprise-scale systems.</li><li>Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL. Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases is a plus. Moreover, hands-on experience with Cosmos DB for globally distributed NoSQL scenarios would be an advantage.</li><li>Data Integration: Strong experience in ETL/ELT design, implementation, and optimization across both batch and streaming data.</li><li>Cloud &amp; IaC: Hands-on experience with Azure data services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.
