You will both define the strategic foundation and lead development to create exceptional, impactful solutions. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable cross-platform (React Native) mobile applications from the ground up.</li> <li>Define and establish the technical direction, architecture, and best practices for cross-platform mobile development, creating a strong foundation for current and future projects.</li> <li>Own the entire lifecycle of mobile features, from ideation and design through development, testing, release, and ongoing support, ensuring a seamless and performant user experience.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and other engineering teams, to define and iterate on mobile features that deliver user and business value.</li> <li>Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented mobile engineering culture and advocating for React Native best practices.</li> <li>Leverage data, user feedback, and analytics to continually enhance and refine the mobile product experience.</li> <li>Drive improvements in mobile development processes, tools, and workflows to maximize efficiency, scalability, and quality.</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of experience building and delivering mobile applications in production environments for both iOS and Android, with at least 2 years of recent professional experience using React Native.</li> <li>Expertise in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript and a solid understanding of native build processes for iOS and Android.</li> <li>Proven ability to build and own CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications that cover the entire development lifecycle, from testing, building, qa’ing, and listing releases in the Apple App Store and Google Play. </li> <li>Experience instrumenting and monitoring cross-platform mobile applications with tools such as Datadog or Sentry. </li> <li>Strong understanding of mobile design principles, UX best practices, and platform-specific considerations for creating exceptional user experiences.</li> <li>Familiarity with Expo and its suite of tools for managing and deploying React Native applications is a plus.</li> <li>Experience making backend updates in support of mobile functionality</li> <li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams.</li> <li>Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions.</li> <li>Growth mindset, adaptability, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.</li> <li>Please note: candidates located within 75 minutes commuting distance of our NYC office are expected to come to office 4 days/week Charlie Health does not provide visa sponsorship. </li> </ul> <h3>Benefits </h3> Charlie Health is pleased to offer comprehensive benefits to all full-time, exempt employees. The total target base compensation for this role will be between $150,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
