Let’s do this! </p><p></p><h3>🚀 About the Role</h3><p>Heres your chance to: Carbyne is seeking a passionate and experienced Pre-sales Engineering Director to lead and develop our high-performing US Pre-Sales team. As a hands-on leader, you will be critical in driving sales success by guiding your team and actively participating in technical pre-sales activities, customer engagements, and solution design.</p><p></p><h3>🎯 Here’s What You’ll Be Doing</h3><ul><li>Direct the Sales Engineering efforts, leading technical resources to assist the Sales team in winning new customers and maximizing revenue.</li><li>Provide coaching and mentorship to the team members.</li><li>Manage PreSales engagement requests from Sales - assess, prioritize, load balance work across team</li><li>Develop and refine processing to decrease sales cycles, speed deployments, and deliver high customer satisfaction.</li><li>Actively participate in pre-sales activities, conducting engineering site evaluations, designing solutions, and leading workshops with prospects </li><li>Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and architect solutions that meet their requirements and work with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Drives continuous improvement in the pre-sales process by developing documentation, best practices, and training materials.</li><li>Works effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations, and Engineering.</li><li>Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions</li></ul><h3>🔑 What You Bring</h3><p><em>To shine in this role, you’ll need:</em></p><p></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience leading and managing pre-sales technical teams </li><li>A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Telephony, LAN networking, IT infrastructure engineering, with in-depth knowledge of firewalls, routers, and network protocols (BGP, MPLS, IPv4/6, etc.).</li><li>Proven ability to actively participate in technical pre-sales activities and customer engagements beyond team management.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and senior leadership.</li><li>Willingness to travel to customers locations within the US up to 35% of the time.</li></ul><p></p><p>Bonus Points:</p><ul><li>Experience within the public safety industry (ENP, ESInet, E911, NG911).</li><li>Knowledge of PBX platforms (Cisco, Avaya, Open Source) and radio systems.</li><li>Experience with network monitoring tools (SNMP, Syslog) and AWS Cloudwatch queries.</li><li>Understand common IP technologies used in analog gateways (SIP, RTSP, RTMP) and scripting languages (Windows PowerShell).</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Feeling unsure because you don’t check every box?
