Site Security
Verkada
- Maintain Verkada Camera system for each location by ensuring devices are functioning properly and camera analytics are working as intended.
- Maintain Verkada Security Alarm System for each location by ensuring devices are functioning properly, create cleaning crew access, establish alarm schedules, set alarm codes, and configure alarm response settings.
- Establish Access Control settings and devices for sensitive rooms and selected locations and ensure doors are functioning as intended.
- Set up site contacts for each site to ensure the proper personnel are being notified in case of an alarm or camera event at their site.
- Work with Verkada Team on device bugs and interface issues to consistently improve and enhance device and system functionality.
- Create Verkada Camera and Alarm sites within the Verkada portal for device assignment and license claiming.
Meraki
- Maintain Meraki Camera system for each location by ensuring devices are functioning properly and camera analytics are working as intended.
- Ensure Meraki Switches remain online and draw adequate power for proper devices.
- Configure Meraki Switch ports for varying device types and required settings.
- Run cable test within the Meraki Portal for troubleshooting.
ADT & Third-Party Providers
- Work with ADT and varying third-party providers to maintain Security and Alarm equipment for select locations.
- Monitor Access Control settings and devices for sensitive rooms and ensure doors are functioning as intended.
- Coordinate Alarm transitions for new Camping World Acquisitions to remove legacy equipment and install preferred updated equipment.
Remodels
- Organize contractors to complete cabling work based upon site layouts.
- Request bids to schedule low voltage contactors.
- Work with project Managers on installation timelines to ensure work is completed in the appropriate order of the project.
- Request and organize any technicians needed for cable terminations and switch connections.
- Re-establish site network connections with software portals and ensure users have access.
- Organize equipment required by requesting shipments from Denver Warehouse and submitting quotes for additional equipment to Verkada.
- Work with technicians to assign ports for all devices, aim cameras and ensure all equipment settings are correct.
New Stores & Acquisitions
- Design camera and alarm indoor and outdoor layouts unique to each locations needs.
- Organize equipment required by requesting shipments from Denver Warehouse and submitting quotes for additional equipment to Verkada.
- Determine cabinets, switch, UPS, amps, and speaker needs for each location.
- Organize contractors to complete cabling work based upon site dot maps.
- Work with project Managers on installation timelines to ensure work is completed in the appropriate order of the project.
- Work with technicians to assign ports for all devices, aim cameras, and ensure all equipment is functioning as intended and settings are correct.
- Organize installation technician schedules and provide installation guides alongside a scope of work.
- Work with site primary points of contact to ensure all necessary access to camera and alarm systems is given and end-users are familiar with software portal functionality.
- Work with Dish Network for site sound system needs.
- Complete the comprehensive new store checklist to ensure the site is cohesively completed and ready for opening.
Closures
- Work with voice and network teams to get a comprehensive list of all devices that need to be removed from the location.
- Organize all equipment that needs to be returned and placed back into inventory to the Denver warehouse by submitting Support tickets and providing tracking information.
- Organize equipment that needs to be returned to the Bowling Green office and ensure tracking is received from contractors.
- Schedule technicians to perform site closure and equipment removal and ensure equipment is taken down in the correct order and manner.
- Coordinate with network team for the deactivation of network equipment to ensure equipment is not removed prior to deactivation.
Site & Employee Support
Enhancement Requests & Coordination
- Work daily in Support Desk+ with requests for access, device issues, cabling changes, site additions or removals, port needs, etc.
- Schedule technicians for each request and work with each technician to ensure the job is done well and everything is working properly.
- Work with on-site contacts to ensure the site is available for the technicians and site primary points of contact are satisfied with any change or resolution being provided.
Add & Remove Users
- Work with Active Directory personnel to establish SCIM managed groups and work towards enhanced automation.
- Work within Active Directory to grant users access to camera and security portals.
- Work within Active Directory to resolve user profile issues preventing access to necessary camera and security portals.
- Remove users from portals who are no longer associated with a specific location.
- Add users to Access Control or give specific permissions based on Job Title.
Device Malfunctions & Replacements
- Troubleshoot network equipment and cabling in coordination with other teams, vendors, and technicians.
- Take swift action for Down Sites to ensure a swift resolution to bring the site back online and operating as normal. This requires coordination amongst multiple teams, internet vendors, power companies, site contacts, and scheduling emergency technicians.
- Work daily with any offline devices by logging into site switches, bounce ports, run cable tests, check port power supply to devices, check UPS battery status, Point-to-point connectivity, ordering replacement batteries or parts, scheduling technicians, working with site General Managers, etc. to ensure devices are back online and the sites are operating at full capacity.
24/7/365 Support
- The team is always available and has on-call scheduling 24/7/365 to ensure any site emergency pertaining to theft, damage, inclement weather, malfunctioning equipment, internet loss or any other immediate need is answered and resolved.
Monitoring
- Work with alarm monitoring companies to resolve alarm monitoring inconsistencies and repeated false alarm events.
- Establish monitoring guidelines unique to Camping World locations.
- Adjust alarm and camera settings as needed where monitors have communicated site specific interferences.
Incident Footage
- Review each camera, locate incident footage, create archives for each view and appropriate durations of incident, and share any incident footage requests received from sites directly or Risk Management team.
Documentation
- Create clear and concise end user documentation to help users navigate and utilize the varying portals and devices.
- Create clear and concise team documentation for onboarding purposes and sharing new information as systems and site requirements change. This hastens the learning curve and ensures the entire team is operating efficiently and at the same level of skill and knowledge.
Fire Alarm
- Coordinate site surveys with Fire Alarm vendors.
- Review vendor installation and repair quotes and submit for riders.
- Confirm Fire Alarm installation and monitoring as required by NFPA codes and local ordinances.
- Setup site primary points of contact for fire alarm access.
- Coordinate vendor service calls for fire alarm issues and ensure proper and timely resolution is found.
- Troubleshoot fire alarm events to confirm issues and assign appropriate construction teams to resolve issues affecting the fire alarm.

Cisco and Meraki Switches
- Identify and troubleshoot ethernet connections
- ARP table lookups

Update and maintain site information spreadsheet shared across Communication Service Teams for smooth coordination and transitions for Site Opening Installation dates, Remodel installation dates, and site closure tear down dates.
New Store Checklist
Update and maintain a comprehensive checklist shared across Communication Service Teams to ensure new sites and acquisitions are thoroughly set-up and ready for Opening Day.
Police Dispatch Data
Produce a monthly Alarm Police Dispatch report with specific data points to show problem site areas and locations that may need additional site-specific settings for repeated false alarms. This helps to consistently decrease false alarms and pin-point high theft locations that need additional security.
Asset Tracker
Produce and maintain an Infrastructure Services asset tracker regarding equipment in-stock at the Denver Warehouse and ready to be shipped out to any needed location. This also accounts for equipment that is currently at specific locations when needed to account for equipment and serial numbers.
Team OneNote
Create and maintain an Infrastructure Team shared OneNote with ongoing tasks, equipment information, remodel progress, new site progress, closure check list, networking information, equipment ordering, specific alarm and fire company information, vendor and contract contacts, etc. This ensures the team is aware of all pertinent information, coordinating together to provide quick and timely action, and tasks are not dropped or forgotten.
SharePoint
Created and host a team SharePoint homepage with links to pertinent SharePoint documents, location Whiteboards housing security and alarm layouts, MAC address tables, Camping World access information and links, Support Desk+, Camping World Personnel Directory, Network Port information, Road School trainings, and so much more. This site speeds up team productivity with quick and easy access to frequently used sites and information.
