Director, Order Management & Global Fulfillment Remote - North America

This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in North America.

We are seeking a seasoned supply chain leader to direct and implement Order Management, Logistics, Transportation and Warehousing strategies. This leader will have a proven track record successfully leading in an outsourced model for managing logistics, transportation and warehousing services. This role will also be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end order management process, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in supply chain management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and will lead a team with direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement logistics, transportation and warehousing operations strategy in alignment with company plans and global supply chain strategy.
  • Oversee the entire order management process, from order entry to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement order management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales, supply chain, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order processing and resolve any issues that arise
  • Develop an adaptable organization to implement new technologies resulting from supply chain strategy and continuous improvements in industry automation.
  • Drive best-in-class metrics for optimizing order management, transportation, logistics and warehouse service levels and costs.
  • Accountable for the operational performance of the logistics partners, e.g., business reviews, continuous improvement initiatives etc.
  • Set up cost control standards, waste reduction and processes.
  • Lead and implement processes and controls in line with industry standards including TL,
  • ISO, sustainable supply chain or others that may arise as the supply chain develops.
  • Assess financial and operations reports to measure productivity and determine cost
  • reduction and service improvement areas.
  • Directs the global third-party logistics partners to deliver business growth,
  • introduction of new products, meeting financial objectives, meeting goals in relation to
  • safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products and efficiency targets.
  • Has direct responsibility for all logistics, transportation, warehousing operations budgeting process. Execution of those budgets in line with BU plans and actual outcomes.
  • Is a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership team to manage and drive planning processes, establishment and assessment of the annual operating budget and achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as defined.
  • Drive operations areas through an interdepartmental interface for smooth workflow and cost-efficient operations.
  • Develop, test, and implement new logistics processes, product and systems technology.
  • Outline goals and objectives in the implementation of advanced logistics and transportation technology to improve cost of sales and promote on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain Resilience within Logistics, e.g., business continuity plan.

  • Order accuracy, order cycle time, process efficiency and team performance
  • Premium Freight minimization
  • Logistics cost per product, storage, activity-based costs, and service levels
  • Warehousing metrics for cost and service
  • Inventory accuracy
  • End-to-end network optimization

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience leading logistics teams
  • Experience in the telecom/communications business a plus.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines in a fully outsourced logistics model.
  • Ability to drive change with partners and internally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Organization development and strong team leadership skills required.
  • Domestic travel will be required in this position (10-20%)
  • Bachelors in related curriculum such as Business, Operations, Finance, Management.  A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • This is a remote position based in the United States or Canada.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidates location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

177,100.00 - 265,700.00 USD Annual

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

154,000.00 - 231,000.00 USD Annual

Regional plus NY:

138,600.00 - 207,900.00 USD Annual
