You’ll ensure high standards of ownership, execution and quality.  In this role, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Ecosystems team.  A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly As a senior engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will learn to work with multiple technologies and platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Typescript, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, DataDog, Cursor to name a few. On a typical day, you will be working to:  <ul> <li>Build composable services with TypeScript (Node), Ruby (Rails), Go, and/or Python</li> <li>Collaborate within your team to plan and build new features</li> <li>Review Implementation Plans (IP) and pull requests (PR) of your teammates, and incorporate their feedback on your own IPs and PRs</li> <li>Contribute to platform scaling initiatives and drive a microservices style architecture</li> <li>Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs for both internal and external use</li> <li>Partner regularly with engineers, product managers, and designers to write implementation plans and execute on requirements</li> <li>Attend agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done.</li> <li>Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly</li> <li>Use advanced AI tools, including Cursor, to analyze and navigate the codebase, generate code, and automate repetitive tasks</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotation and solve customer issues</li> </ul> What do we need from you? <ul> <li>7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.</li> <li>A track record of rapidly learning new languages and technologies to get the job done; your secret weapon is adaptability</li> <li>Experience as a technical leader or SME in a functional area on a current or previous team</li> <li>Well practiced in retrospectives, reflection, owning responsibility, and communicating with kindness</li> <li>A track record of rapidly learning new languages and technologies to get the job done; skilled at adapting to new paradigms</li> <li>Youve built modular, composable service architectures using Node, Go, or Python and a variety of back-end data stores</li> <li>Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices); previous experience migrating from Monolith to micro services architecture is nice to have.</li> <li>Excited to craft simple software solutions to sophisticated problems.</li> <li>Strive to craft clean, reliable and highly maintainable code.</li> <li>Collaborating with your peers in a small engineering team, biased in favor of results over process</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time</li> </ul> What’s in it for you?  Ready to make a serious impact? Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.
