Job Description
We are looking for a talented Sr. Corporate IT Analyst to personally deliver the IT operations services in our organization. As a team-of-one, reporting to the CISO, this role will provide support for IT solutions that enhance business operations by working closely with stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
This position will provide superior support to employees through virtual/phone calls and chat, working to address their software and hardware inquiries promptly and professionally. As a successful Sr. Corporate IT Analyst, you have an excellent technical aptitude, as well as superior project and people management skills. Ultimately, an outstanding Sr. Corporate IT Analyst should maintain smooth, secure, and updated technical operations within our organization.
Responsibilities
- IT Support / Help Desk
- Create and manage an internal support ticket system to obtain and track hardware and software inquiries through completion
- Provide technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware-related issues during normal business hours with the understanding that these may vary based on business needs
- Oversee communication with departments / organization when a global issues arises, including status updates, path(s) to resolution, and corresponding timelines
- Ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely manner, and escalate issues and recommended solutions to supervisor and appropriate stakeholders
- Software Management
- Collaborate with department leads and managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of corporate software
- Create and oversee software vendor selection questionnaire, working to ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before deployment of new software
- Ensure proper onboarding and offboarding of users in corporate software systems is completed in a timely manner
- Regularly audit (e.g., quarterly) corporate software systems to confirm or revise user access
- Track the complete list of software, both installed and cloud-based, for all users and contractors, creating reports, summarizations, and recommendations, as-needed.
- Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) software and assist users with the use of it.
- Manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) software and address any incidents.
- Manage agents that report to an outsourced 24-hour Security Operations Center (SOC) and respond to incidents identified by the SOC.
- Hardware Management
- Inspect the use of technological equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Procure approved hardware purchases, install endpoint protection on devices, and ensure anti-virus/anti-malware endpoint security
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating employee laptops
- Company Data & Device Security
- Work closely with CISO to ensure measures are in place and monitored in accordance with corporate policies regarding company data and device security (e.g., SOC 2)
- Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
- Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement, as well as deploy related installations and updates to devices
- Cost Management
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
- Optimize hardware and software spend based on operational and strategic goals, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources
- Present software and hardware performance reports based on financial budgets
- Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with company requirements, and provide recommendations
- Maintenance / Continuous Improvement
- Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
- IT Projects
- Develop and implement IT projects in line with organizational objectives
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to supervisor and other stakeholders (e.g., department lead)
- Stay up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in an IT, analytics, or SaaS environment
- Proven experience in IT, project management, and policy development
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Experience supporting custom in-house built customer-facing applications
- Sound understanding of computer systems (i.e., hardware, software, networks etc.)
- Experience in managing information technology budget / external department budgets
- Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Strong leadership and knowledge of project management principles
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and research methodology
- Excellent written skills and ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, from conception through completion (e.g., organization, planning, time management, prioritization)
- Ability to work independently, while meeting internal schedules and deadlines
- Change management skills and ability to have a strategic business vision
This is a full-time remote position located in Indianapolis, IN or St. George, Utah. The individual hired is expected to be located in one of these regions and work on-site according to a schedule set by management based on the requirements of their role.
Benefits & Compensation
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$95,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
