As part of a diverse company that prizes creativity, technical excellence, and work-life balance, you will work with a fun and inspirational cross-discipline team devoted to creating world-class gaming experiences.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Engineering leader for the economic model and player pursuits of Marathon</li> <li>Lead by example by building and maintaining production-quality code using C++</li> <li>Collaborate with design leads to develop technical solutions for their desired player experiences</li> <li>Directly manage up to three engineering individual contributors, providing support, technical mentorship, constructive feedback and career development coaching</li> <li>Be an owner, decision-maker, or guide for technical features in player pursuits</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience designing and building networked game systems</li> <li>Experience leading (managing, mentoring, or guiding) engineers through planning, developing, and shipping</li> <li>Effectively communicate with fellow engineers to jointly design, write, and review code, by driving team consensus and alignment</li> <li>Effectively write clear, concise and accurate technical documentation and email communication, with the ability to summarize complex topics and achieve alignment across multiple teams</li> <li>Ability to communicate with customers from both technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate technology and achieve their goals</li> </ul> <p><strong>NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience programming in C#</li> <li>Experience working on a live service game</li> <li>Experience with online services technologies.
