We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our team as the Manager, Specialty Operations (ACA). <hr /> <h3>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h3>   The primary objective of the Manager, Specialty Operations (ACA) is to lead, manage, and inspire a team that delivers exceptional service and compliance support across Affordable Care Act (ACA) functional areas. This position oversees transactional back-office functions that support the broader scope of benefits administration, ensuring clients remain compliant with ACA regulations and reporting requirements. The Manager drives execution, operational excellence, and a consistent, high-quality client experience through proactive leadership, accountability, and strong team engagement. This position is remote and can be filled anywhere in the U.S. However, bswift operates with Central Time Zone hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST), and all teammates are expected to align their schedules accordingly. <hr /> <h3>WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions)</h3> Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. <ul> <li>Lead and manage ACA operational teams responsible for 1094/1095 form processing, IRS submission, and employer compliance reporting.</li> <li>Monitor team capacity, deliverables, and performance daily to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.</li> <li>Conduct regular 1:1s to support development, address needs, and ensure successful task execution.</li> <li>Serve as the primary client escalation point for ACA service delivery concerns, driving resolution and ensuring high-quality outcomes.</li> <li>Provide operational performance reports to senior leadership weekly, identifying successes, risks, and resourcing needs.</li> <li>Lead weekly team meetings to communicate business initiatives, review deliverables, and align on client and compliance timelines.</li> <li>Hire, develop, and retain team members who reflect bswift’s values and commitment to service excellence.</li> <li>Oversee ACA implementations, managing risks and communicating progress to senior leadership and clients.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams (Product, QA, and Client Services) to ensure accuracy in ACA processing and system functionality.</li> <li>Partner with the VP in remediation efforts and act as the point of contact for clients seeking engagement with senior management or subject matter experts.</li> <li>Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and mentorship to direct reports, fostering professional growth and accountability.</li> <li>Manage performance against KPIs and service-level expectations.</li> <li>Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline ACA operations and enhance efficiency.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience)</h3> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage clients, colleagues, and leadership effectively.</li> <li>Proven experience as a people leader, with a minimum of 5 direct reports</li> <li>Experience in ACA compliance, Technology, Health &amp; Welfare Benefits, Human Resources, or Healthcare strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong relationship management and project management expertise with the ability to motivate and align multiple stakeholders.</li> <li>Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new technologies and communicate their impact effectively.</li> <li>Leadership style that models and reinforces bswift’s core values.</li> <li>Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities with composure and focus.</li> <li>Willingness to work nights or weekends as necessary to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required, or equivalent relevant work experience.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Education and Experience)</h3> <ul> <li>Previous leadership experience in ACA administration, compliance, or client delivery teams.</li> <li>Knowledge of IRS reporting systems, ACA data validation, and error resolution.</li> <li>Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with benefits administration platforms and ACA technology tools.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>OTHER DUTIES</h3> Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.   Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.      In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future &amp; continued salary growth.
