You will be an advocate for effective use of domain data across teams and projects. Join us and make a lasting impact!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Your Responsibilities:</b></div><h3>Data Maintenance and Governance</h3><ul><li>Work with Data Owners, Stewards and Custodians to recommend and implement data governance policies and processes within target data domain(s)</li><li>Monitor the state of data within a domain and the aligned business outcomes</li><li>Collaborate with Data Council members to receive and understand policy directives</li><li>Assist Data Stewards in interpreting and enacting policy requirements</li><li>Identify data governance process weaknesses and gaps, recommend and drive process improvements, where possible initiate projects that drive forward the vision of Data Governance</li><li>Proactively identify, prioritize, and lead the resolution of governance and quality issues for enterprise data assets with data stewards and stakeholders</li><li>Assist Data Stewards with the creation, documentation, and adherence of data governance policies and expectations</li><li>Mentor Data Stewards in the range of stewardship activities; be prepared to step-in to data steward role where conflicts arise</li><li>Sponsor cross-domain discussions, issue remediation, and drive best practices</li><li>Drive engagement, leadership, and active participation, and agendas of the Data Stewardship Community of Practice</li><li>Participate in regular governance meetings</li><li>Ensure Risks, Issues, Actions, and Decisions are appropriately documented and socialized</li><li>Track, monitor, and publish metrics and scorecards</li></ul><h3>Stakeholder &amp; Change Management</h3><ul><li>Serve as an ambassador for the data within target domain(s); be able to speak to the data that exists, what it means, where and how it is being used, sources, etc.</li><li>Ensure work performed is in line with overall business objectives and Data Governance vision</li><li>Be a trusted advisor across business units, providing guidance on standard approaches, sharing best practices and anticipating opportunities for data governance activities and projects</li><li>Possess a deep understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business outcomes</li><li>Gain understanding of current and future data needs and strategy for data in assigned data domain required to meet business objectives</li><li>Communicate the business value of data governance to stakeholders, tailoring messaging to resonate with different audiences</li><li>Foster a change management mentality to accelerate adoption of governance policies and processes</li></ul><h3>Technology Enablement &amp; IT Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Collaborate with the data engineering, integrations team, and application owners to align governance requirements, policies with data pipelines, storage, and processing workflows</li><li>Provide hands-on leadership, counsel, &amp; education to IT projects, application owners, data custodians, etc. on the role of Data Governance &amp; Stewardship for project-based work and ongoing data issue remediation</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><u><b>5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Steward roles or Data Operations roles</b></u></li><li>Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional global environment</li><li>Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust and strong working relationships across the company</li><li>Experience operationalizing Data Governance policies, standards, processes and controls</li><li>Strong functional understanding of data issues and remediations that need to be implemented to resolve issues, leveraging business processes and technical capabilities</li><li>Experience with Data Catalog tools and a deep understanding of metadata management, data governance principles and data lineage concepts</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate clearly and concisely with functional experts, project teams and stakeholders</li><li>Embraces and lives the Brooks values!</li></ul><div><b>Compensation:</b><span> The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $</span><a href="http://108.403">108.403</a><span> - $162,605 per year.
