This role is perfect for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys building in a fast-paced environment at a mission-driven fintech company.You’ll collaborate with leaders across the organization to develop forecasts, analyze performance, and deliver insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a passion for process improvement, and a willingness to dive deep into data to uncover key business trends.What you’ll be doing <ul><li>Strategic Finance &amp; Scenario Planning: Build models to evaluate new initiatives, investment opportunities, and business scenarios. Present recommendations that inform long-term planning and resource allocation.</li><li>Forecasting &amp; Budgeting: Maintain and enhance Brigit’s 3-statement financial model and unit economic models. Partner with functional leads to develop forecasts and budgets that align with strategic goals.</li><li>Financial Reporting &amp; Insights: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Brigit and Upbound (our parent company). Deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership through financial and unit economics analysis.</li><li>Cash Flow &amp; Capital Efficiency: Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements. Collaborate with the Upbound finance team to deploy capital effectively to support sustainable growth.</li><li>Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a trusted finance partner to teams across the company – translating financial data into strategic decisions. Help others understand the financial impact of their team’s work.</li><li>Process Development: Design and implement scalable finance processes to support growth. Find ways to automate and leverage AI/LLMs to drive operational efficiencies.</li></ul>What you have<ul><li>Experience: 3-6 years in FP&amp;A or strategic finance at a high-growth consumer-focused company. Background in investment banking or consulting is a plus. Fintech, lending, or subscription company experience is highly valued.</li><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CFA certifications are a bonus.</li><li>Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of FP&amp;A, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP. Experience with customer unit economics (LTV:CAC, retention, ARPU).</li><li>Tools &amp; Tech: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems and BI tools. Familiarity with SQL and/or Oracle Smart View is a plus.</li><li>Communication Skills: Comfortable working cross functionally. Ability to translate and simplify complex financial information for senior leadership and diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li></ul>LocationThis is a full-time role which will operate out of Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely 1-2x per week, based on business needs.CompensationThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120,000 - $155,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed below).
