In this role, you’ll play a key part in our month-end close process, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and support for audits and tax filings. You’ll work closely with the Director of Accounting and have a direct impact on the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.*This is a full-time role which will operate out of Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely 3x a week.What you’ll be doing<ul><li>Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies identified</li><li>Lead and support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis</li><li>Oversee day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes</li><li>Prepare and analyze internal and external financial reports</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams and our parent company (Upbound) to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions</li><li>Support revenue recognition and ensure compliance with accounting standards</li><li>Assist in annual audits and tax filings, including preparation of schedules and supporting documents</li><li>Support ad hoc projects such as process improvements, integration with Upbound, reporting automation, and system implementations</li></ul>What you have<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus</li><li>3+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience at a small to mid-sized tech company; experience within a B2C company preferred</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (Advanced level required); Oracle and/or SQL experience a significant plus</li><li>Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly in revenue and expense recognition</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with large volumes of data</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset</li></ul>CompensationThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed below).
