You’ll guide a team of talented designers and work cross functionally to shape every customer touchpoint, from onboarding and navigation to our core product portfolio that includes Instant Cash, Credit Builder, our financial wellness marketplace, and our new line of credit offering.As a key leader in the Product organization, youll bring vision and craft together to create lovable, accessible, and effective digital experiences for millions of financially underserved Americans.This is a leadership role for someone who is excited to be both strategic and hands-on, who can zoom out to define a design system and zoom in to finesse micro-interactions, all while building and mentoring a high-performing team.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Lead and inspire a growing team of product designers</li><li>Establish a culture of big-picture ideation, hypothesis-driven prioritization, and user-centered research and design</li><li>Set the vision for product design excellence that combines visual and interactive elements with top-notch user experience design</li><li>Shape Brigit’s user research function by establishing the processes and tooling to empower designers, product managers, and marketers to discover qualitative insights quickly</li><li>Partner closely with Product, Engineering and Marketing to define product strategy and set roadmap priorities</li><li>Elevate the brand through every product interaction, developing a cohesive, compelling, and modern design language for the Brigit app</li><li>Bring structure to how we work: Evolve our design systems, tools, and processes to improve velocity and consistency</li><li>Champion our customers, who often face financial stress and deserve clarity and compassion in every product touchpoint</li><li>Roll up your sleeves: Lead by example with exceptional hands-on design and clear storytelling </li></ul>What We’re Looking For<ul><li>8+ years of product design experience, with 3+ years managing or directing designers</li><li>Experience leading design for consumer mobile apps (fintech, health, or other behavior-changing products preferred)</li><li>Exceptional portfolio that showcases end-to-end product thinking, visual design skills, and visionary leadership</li><li>Deep understanding of UX best practices, accessibility, and design systems</li><li>Experience leading and executing user research</li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills — you influence through vision while also keeping tactical priorities on track</li><li>Empathy for financially stressed Americans and an interest in developing products that promote sustainable financial health</li><li>Bonus: Background in behavioral design, financial services, or other regulated industries</li></ul>LocationThis is a full-time role which will operate out of Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely 1x per week, based on business needs.CompensationThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible.
