You will also engage with internal and external partners to drive the technology activities associated with M&amp;A deals<h2>Let me tell you about the role</h2>As a Project Manager in bp’s Technology M&amp;A Execution team, you will lead the delivery of technology workstreams that support mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. You may also play a role in pre-deal due diligence, ensuring that technology risks, dependencies, and integration opportunities are identified and addressed early in the transaction lifecycle.<h2>What you will deliver</h2><h2>Project Delivery</h2><ul><li>Lead end-to-end execution of technology workstreams for M&amp;A transactions, including data migration, TSA planning, license transfers and platform transitions across structured and unstructured systems</li><li>Coordinate across bp’s digital platforms, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.</li></ul><h2>Stakeholder Engagement</h2><ul><li>Act as the primary point of contact for technology-related M&amp;A Execution activities</li><li>Facilitate communication between deal teams, legal, cybersecurity, and digital platform leads.</li></ul><h2>Risk &amp; Organisational Change</h2><ul><li>Identify and call out technology risks uncovered during integration or divestment activities</li><li>Recommend mitigation strategies and ensure they are reflected in integration/divestment planning and legal agreements.</li></ul><h2>Pre-Deal Due Diligence</h2>Understand the outputs from Due Diligence including <ul><li>Digital due diligence reports</li><li>Target architecture assessments</li><li>Cybersecurity risk summaries</li><li>Data room content reviews and Q&amp;A management</li></ul><h2>What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)</h2><ul><li>Proven experience managing complex technology projects in M&amp;A or divestment contexts.</li><li>Strong understanding of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks).</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership.</li></ul>At this level, the Project Manager is delivering multiple concurrent initiatives. They apply critical thinking to programme and project management, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Stakeholder management involves influencing senior leadership and aligning cross-functional teams to shared objectives. They are strategically applying mixed methodologies (Agile, Waterall, etc.) to drive delivery and maintain team focus. They demonstrate leadership in systems development, ensuring robust, enduring solutions meet technical and business needs.
