Technical Writer and EditorKey Role: Research, outline, write, and edit technical documents, working closely with tech leads to understand project requirements. Gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop, organize, and write client-facing material including reports, briefings, user manuals, training manuals, and administrative documents. Shape and write strategic marketing documents, including slick sheets, whitepapers, and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and edit and proofread technical documents for presentation and publication. Rewrite portions of text to improve clarity, completeness, and cogency by correcting grammar, punctuation, misstatements, spelling, and ambiguity, and edit text to ensure conciseness, proper verb tenses, correct terminology, definition acronyms, symbols, and table captions. Ensure proper language usage and discussion flow, and verify all listed references are cited. Compare and proofread illustrations, photographs, tables, graphs, and charts with text to assure proper placement and layout, and ensure security markings are affixed as directed.
