Your responsibilities will include engineering support for SQL Server-based and Power BI-based workloads across Cloud-based and On-Prem systems. How Youll Contribute:<ul><li>Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server instances including on-premises, cloud, or hybrid.</li><li>Plan and implement SQL Server upgrades, patches, and service packs.</li><li>Set up SQL Server in clustered and high-availability environments such as Always On, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, or Mirroring.</li><li>Monitor SQL Server performance such as CPU, memory, and I/O.</li><li>Perform vulnerability scans and remediate database-related security issues.</li><li>Design and manage backup strategies such as full, differential, transaction log.</li><li>Implement and test disaster recovery plans.</li><li>Set up and maintain SQL Server monitoring and alerting systems such as SCOM, SolarWinds, and custom scripts.</li><li>Schedule and automate maintenance tasks such as indexing, DBCC checks, and stats updates.</li></ul>Join us. The world cant wait.You Have:<ul><li>5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a Windows Server environment, including servers hosting Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2019, or 2022 in instances and clusters</li><li>5+ years of experience managing enterprise reporting platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI Report Server, including report deployment, security administration, performance tuning, and service configuration</li><li>Experience leveraging PowerShell and scripting languages to automate server builds, SQL installations, security patching, configuration management, and daily operational tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability</li><li>Experience configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backups, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and meet RTO/RPO objectives for critical business systems</li><li>Ability to obtain a Secret clearance</li><li>HS diploma or GED</li><li>Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of hire date</li></ul>Nice If You Have:<ul><li>Experience applying systems engineering fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments</li><li>Experience with enterprise server, storage, networking, software, and application services or in a single solution platform</li><li>Experience collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internally and externally to resolve complex technical issues</li><li>Experience supporting and coordinating across senior-level organizations</li><li>Experience mentoring junior team members</li><li>Experience with cloud-based systems</li><li>Secret clearance</li><li>Bachelors degree in CS, IT, or Engineering</li><li>CASP+ or CISSP Certification</li></ul>Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
