The Opportunity:

Whether creating new processes or monitoring data to identify issues, our clients need an advisor who can help with investment and design and carry out analyses. That is why we need you, an experienced Research Security Review Advisor who can analyze every aspect of your customers operations and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, youll serve as a strategic technical advisor to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to societys most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating the commercialization of successfully developed technologies. 

Youll serve as a Research Security Review Advisor, helping clients to understand issues related to policy and regulation, establish new business processes, and complete research risk-based security reviews for R&D programs. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the clients mission, and problem-solving will enable the missions success.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Provide support to the Research Security Review Program

  • Support the agency on federal government requirements regarding research security and due diligence programs

  • Interpret federal guidance pertaining to security programs

  • Develop deliverables to communicate findings related to risk-based security reviews

You Have:

  • Experience with research risk-based security reviews on proposals to research programs or SBIR/STTR due diligence programs

  • Experience interpreting federal guidance, establishing and managing processes, and preparing reports and briefs to convey findings

  • Experience with supply chain risk management (SCRM) and Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) reviews

  • Experience with reviews of proposed or current vendors for compliance with federal requirements regarding foreign ownership, control, or influence

  • Knowledge of the R&D lifecycle, stages of research development and investment, and common federal R&D agency solicitation, assistance, or procurement processes

  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, International Studies, or National Security

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting ARPA programs or U.S. DoD advanced development programs

  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations

  • Experience in an R&D environment

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

  • Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively

  • Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
