Nuclear Engineer, LeadKey Role:Provide nuclear weapons effects subject matter expertise to client research and development (R&amp;D) modeling and simulation (M&amp;S) programs. Apply nuclear weapons effects knowledge to support nuclear technology effects, detection, and forensic research programs. Support various multi-functional teams conducting hard target deconstruction, preparing technical collection concepts, developing R&amp;D requirements, and preparing technical research reports. Apply advanced theories, principles, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Lead development of solutions to highly complex problems. Work with a wide latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Provide supervision and development of first-level supervisors or managers. Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>8+ years of experience with systems engineering approaches to nuclear weapons effects or use of physics-based nuclear weapons effects models </li><li>Experience with reverse engineering and facility and vulnerability assessments of foreign nuclear capabilities </li><li>Knowledge of nuclear science, nuclear fuel cycle, and nuclear and radiation effects, such as EMP or HANE </li><li>Knowledge of nuclear engineering and sub-disciplines of thermo-hydraulics, seismic or earthquake, physics, computational science, or fission reactor engineering </li><li>Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam </li><li>Bachelors degree in a Nuclear Engineering or Physics field</li></ul>Additional Qualifications: <ul><li>Experience leading military operations or research and development projects for the DoD, IC, or other security agencies</li><li>Experience with nuclear weapons effects modeling and simulation tools </li><li>Knowledge of systems engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning </li><li>TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph</li><li>Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering or Applied Physics </li><li>Certified Nuclear Professional Certification </li><li>Professional Engineer Certification </li></ul>Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).
