Modeling and Simulation Engineer, SeniorThe Opportunity: USEUCOM is standing up a modeling, simulation, and decision analytics program to produce and integrate operational modeling, simulation, and data analytics in support of Joint, Combined, and Coalition operations, planning, and decision making. This new program will leverage digital technologies and analytic methodologies to inform planning, exercises, experiments, and wargames through models, simulations, and analytics of current and alternative operational environments, learn probable adversary actions and reactions, and understand the possible impacts to U.S., Alliance, and partner forces’ ability to operation in the USEUCOM AOR. As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll have the chance to assess and evaluate combat weapon systems using computer-based analytical tools, including the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM) analytical framework, MATLAB, Python, and other data processing and analytic tools. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate combat weapon systems and their ability to execute USEUCOM operations and missions. You’ll directly impact USEUCOM’s mission by identifying how factors such as force package design, order of battle, basing, and multi-domain operations affect the outcomes of long-duration, theater-level campaigns. These analyses ultimately allow USEUCOM and DoD leadership to make more informed decisions regarding operational planning, campaign planning, and acquisition of future combat systems. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
