Manufacturing EngineerThe Opportunity: As a manufacturing engineer, you know the complexities of defining, managing, and verifying the supply chain resources, manufacturing processes, methods, and tools needed to produce hardware. Producing one-off, precision-manufactured hardware requires coordination of the design process, supply chain, manufacturing resources, vendors, tooling, and process capability to optimize the investment of resources and deliver hardware, on cost and schedule. That’s why we need you: a manufacturing engineer who can help ensure success through your technical expertise and effective communication. On our team, you’ll be part of manufacturing and delivering hardware in support of Air Force aircraft sustainment, fabrication, and production projects. You’ll work with key stakeholders turning engineering designs into hardware reality. You’ll work with other engineering stakeholders to assure manufacturability of designs and with vendors to define and implement the processes, methods, and tools required to deliver hardware. You’ll have regular interactions with Subject Matter Experts, Mission Partners, Chief Engineers, Subcontractors, Vendors, Program Management, and more. You Have:<ul><li>4+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role</li><li>Experience with CAD or CAM software</li><li>Experience with Operating Process Definition in machining or assembly operations</li><li>Experience with preventative maintenance for machining tools</li><li>Experience with using Design for Manufacturing or Design for Assembly processes support design and development projects</li><li>Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing</li><li>Ability to function independently as a self-starter and manage work efficiently</li><li>Ability to manage manufacturing project scope, schedule, and budget</li><li>Ability to obtain a Secret clearance</li><li>Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering</li></ul>Nice If You Have:<ul><li>Experience with Continuous Improvement projects</li><li>Experience with Root Cause or Corrective Action tools</li><li>Knowledge of 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks</li><li>Secret clearance</li><li>ASME Y14.5 Certification</li></ul>Clearance:  Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
