Database Administrator
The Opportunity:

This person will work closely with our cybersecurity team and equipment specialists tracking software licenses and hardware warranties to complement the operations and configuration of the network.
As a Database Administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in state-of-the-art modernization within the cyber world. Working with Air Force fighters, you’ll grow your knowledge and skillset to support future warfighters.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience working with database administration
- Experience working with HADOOP, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Experience designing the physical structure of complex databases, considering access methods, frequency of access, storage media, data volatility, or search strategies
- Experience designing and modifying storage structure and mapping between database functions to improve efficiency and reliability
- Knowledge of complex data management concepts, principles, and methods
- Ability to implement strategic data planning practices by structuring data and applications independently to allow data sharing across functions and among organizations
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience designing and developing changes or modifications to programs when conflicting requirements are found
- Knowledge of software programming languages, including Ada, C, C++, COBOL, Java, Fortran, Pascal, and Visual Basic
- Knowledge of a broad range of systems analysis concepts, techniques, and principles sufficient to evaluate business practices and processes, evaluate the feasibility of systems development projects, and develop functional requirements and specifications
- Knowledge of applications software development and design concepts and techniques sufficient to design, develop, code, test, and debug large and complex programs
- Ability to design, develop, test, evaluate, install, and fine-tune IT programs
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelors degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
