Aerospace Engineer, Junior

Key Role:

Provide aeroballistics engineering support for the operation, maintenance, and testing of complex technology systems for DoD weapon systems. Evaluate complicated munitions. Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved product or processes. Investigate solutions to product or process problems. Provide critical test support and develop reports on findings and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Experience with engineering software tools, such as CREO, CAD, or SolidWorks

• Experience with FEA software tools, such as ANSYS

• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

• Ability to execute test plans and analyze results

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelors degree

Additional Qualifications: 

• Experience with aeroballistics characterization using CFD, wind tunnels, or other tools

• Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates

• Ability to develop modeling and simulations

• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing for prototype and product development

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
