You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.  What You’ll Do <ul> <li>Be an active member of an Agile team, collaboratively designing and implementing features for Event Streams through the software development lifecycle</li> <li>Lead the architecture design, development, unit testing, and deployment of highly available and scalable streaming solutions using Apache Pulsar</li> <li>Design and implement core components of the Boomi Event Streams platform using Java, and Apache Pulsar</li> <li>Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features</li> <li>Investigate and resolve complex customer issues</li> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality deliverables</li> <li>Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership</li> <li>Mentor other Boomi engineers, including design collaboration and code reviews</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to event streaming and cloud infrastructure</li> </ul> The Experience You Bring  <ul> <li>8+ hands-on experience with Java, Advanced Java, Spring, SpringBoot, JUnit, CI/CD, Source Control Systems</li> <li>Programming skills: Proficiency in Java Core and strong understanding of distributed services and experience with both service oriented and event-driven architectures</li> <li>Strong knowledge of streaming technologies: Experience with Apache Pulsar and/or Apache Kafka</li> <li>Containerization, orchestration, and scalability: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and autoscaling strategies</li> <li>Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar</li> <li>Experience with Web Services technologies including REST and GraphQL</li> <li>Automation: Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks to streamline development and deployment processes</li> <li>CI/CD Pipeline: Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Devops tools like Jenkins, Harness, with a focus on security integration</li> <li>Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li> </ul> Bonus Points If You Have <ul> <li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud</li> <li>Experience with apache open source projects and/or contributions to open source projects</li> <li>Experience in building front-end screens and dashboards using JavaScript and React</li> <li>Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for event streaming applications</li> <li>Experience with Application Security</li> <li>Familiarity with SQL, relational database systems</li> <li>Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards related to event data</li> <li>Bachelor/Masters in any Branch of Engineering or equivalent technical field</li> </ul>   Aren’t sure if you’re a match? Location Vancouver, BC - Hybrid Compensation and Benefits Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our Vancouver hub ranges from $154,717 - $193,397 CAD annually + applicable bonus.
