Start the Best Work of Your Career at Boom The Senior 3D Visualization Designer will contribute to design projects from concept to execution and deliver world-class visualizations, renderings, videos, and animations in service of product marketing, brand development, and product design. This person will work closely with the Head of Design, as well as industrial designers and engineers to translate CAD geometry and engineering data into visually and emotionally compelling static and motion-based digital assets. This position requires excellent 3D modeling, rendering, and animation skills, excellent time and project management skills, a high attention to detail, and enthusiasm for collaboration and constructive feedback. Role Overview <ul> <li>Deliver photorealistic images and animations that communicate detailed product features and attributes to internal and external audiences</li> <li>Contribute to development of real-time visualization in Unreal Engine and implement ongoing geometry and material updates into existing models</li> <li>Produce quick visualizations (sketch/clay renderings, Photoshop images) to rapidly communicate working design concepts </li> <li>Supports marketing, investor and customer presentations by creating compelling visuals that accurately communicate hard and soft materials and geometry</li> <li>Create renderings and presentations to communicate the design of architectural environments</li> <li>Develop and contribute to VR/AR experiences and installations to bring design concepts to life </li> </ul> The Ideal Candidate <ul> <li>Design visualization experience, preferably in automotive or aerospace/aviation</li> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant design discipline, or equivalent training</li> <li>Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, technical proficiency, and aesthetic sensibility</li> <li>Self-motivated and able to work productively without supervision </li> <li>Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Able to communicate the value of design within the context of the business, and provide an articulate rationale for specific design decisions</li> <li>Ability to work with and produce video and motion graphics</li> <li>Adept at explaining complex hardware and software in a non-technical and memorable manner, and demonstrating the value of technology investment in the context of the business</li> <li>Able to adapt fast-paced and rapidly changing working environment by building flexibility into the design process</li> <li>Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting</li> <li>Excels in a high-energy, independent, and challenging work environment</li> </ul> What Will Set You Apart <ul> <li>UX/UI design experience</li> <li>Hardware prototyping experience</li> <li>Brand and graphic design experience</li> <li>Experience in a fast-space, high growth startup environment and/or aerospace industry</li> </ul> Compensation The Base Salary Range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees.
