This role leads the architecture strategy for computing platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure design, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture, combined with strong leadership and collaboration skills.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead the design, development, and implementation of BCA infrastructure architectures supporting manufacturing, engineering, and business systems</li><li>Define scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions, including cloud, on-premises, networking, storage, and compute resources</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams IT, manufacturing, engineering, and security to align infrastructure strategies with business goals and production requirements</li><li>Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives to support factory automation, digital thread integration, and advanced analytics capabilities</li><li>Lead infrastructure architecture reviews, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Boeing’s security and governance standards</li><li>Mentor and guide a team of infrastructure architects and engineers to deliver innovative and reliable infrastructure solutions</li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations in infrastructure design</li><li>Support acquisition and divestiture activities by assessing and integrating infrastructure components as needed</li><li>Develop and maintain architecture documentation, roadmaps, and standards to ensure consistency and scalability</li></ul>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher</li><li>5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable computing infrastructure for data solutions, including cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)</li><li>5+ years of experience with cybersecurity, information protection, risk management, and/or IT compliance</li><li>5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):<ul><li>10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid cloud environments</li><li>Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies</li><li>Experience in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef</li><li>Experience with network architecture, protocols, and security (e.g., SDN, VPN, firewalls)</li><li>Experience with SAN, NAS, and cloud storage architectures</li><li>Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), identity and access management, and risk mitigation strategies</li><li>Experience integrating infrastructure with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines</li></ul>Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay &amp; Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
