As a visionary leader, you will drive the development of infrastructure and automation solutions that enhance the resilience, security, and scalability of our IAM services.This role combines hands-on technical leadership and people/operations management: you will define and execute platform strategy, oversee secure and scalable infrastructure for IAM services, manage supplier/vendor technical relationships, and develop individual contributors.You will integrate engineering, infrastructure, security, and process activities across IAM — shaping roadmaps, approving technical approaches, and ensuring services meet reliability, compliance, and business objectives.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-discipline team (DevOps, Platform, Automation) supporting IAM services across cloud and hybrid infrastructure</li><li>Define and execute platform roadmap for infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability, and automation aligned to IAM and Enterprise Security priorities</li><li>Drive platform reliability (Service Level Objectives (SLOs)/Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)), incident response, root-cause analysis, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement</li><li>Build and maintain secure, automated delivery pipelines for IAM applications and integrations (including schema/config management, secret management, and rotation)</li><li>Champion infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.) and standardize reusable modules/components</li><li>Partner with security architects, product owners, engineering teams, cloud operations, and compliance to design secure, auditable solutions that meet regulatory/compliance needs</li><li>Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and automation for onboarding, deployments, scaling, and disaster recovery</li><li>Manage vendor relationships for platform tooling and cloud services; evaluate new tools and drive adoption where appropriate</li><li>Own capacity planning, cost management, and platform health reporting for IAM services</li><li>Hire, retain, and develop senior individual contributors and team leads; drive career development plans and performance reviews</li><li>Provide cost, risk, and impact analysis for platform design and operational decisions; present to executive stakeholders</li></ul>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher</li><li>8+ years of experience in infrastructure support</li><li>5+ years of experience in a people management role</li><li>5+ years of experience building and operating infrastructure for identity, authentication, or security-centric services (or complex distributed services)</li><li>5+ years of experience cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid/cloud networking, security groups and IAM</li><li>5+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management</li><li>Experience with container orchestration and platform automation</li><li>Experience with secrets management and secure credential handling.</li><li>Experience with collaborating cross-functionally (security, engineering, compliance, risk)</li><li>Experience with history of producing technical roadmaps and executive updates</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):<ul><li>Master’s or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field</li><li>10+ years of experience with basic networking concepts</li><li>5+ years of experience with system configuration tools and implementation of architectural frameworks (Service Oriented Architecture, Domain-Driven Design)</li><li>5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IAM products or services (Ping, Azure AD, SailPoint, LDAP, Active Directory, EntraID, etc.)</li><li>5+ years of experience running SRE teams or platform teams supporting security-critical applications</li><li>5+ years of experience regulatory/compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA) and how to operationalize controls</li><li>5+ years of experience in Python, Go, or similar for automation and tooling</li><li>Experience with policy-as-code and security automation</li></ul>Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay &amp; Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
