This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive the development of robust software solutions that integrate seamlessly with robotics systems.</div><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and execute the engineering vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring timely of features and enhancement.</li><li>Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for development projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.</li><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and operations, to ensure cohesive product development and integration.</li><li>Communicate effectively with executive leadership and key stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to inform software development strategies and maintain a technological edge.</li><li>Establish and maintain best practices in engineering processes, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.</li><li>Ability to travel as needed (10-15%)</li></ul><h3>Qualification and Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, robotics, or a related field. (Advanced degree preferred)</li><li>10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within robotics or autonomous vehicles.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale software development projects from inception to completion.</li><li>Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and agile development methodologies.</li><li>Experience with robotics software, control systems, and hardware and software components integration is highly desirable.</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><div><span>BlueSpace.aI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
