BlackRock’s Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industrys broadest arrays of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles. Our Securitized Assets Portfolio Management Team is searching for a Portfolio Manager to assist in managing the securitized allocations for the portfolio teams.

Your team:
The Securitized Assets Portfolio Management team invests in the US Asset-Backed (ABS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed (CMBS), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO), and Residential Mortgage-Backed (RMBS) markets on behalf of numerous Multi-Sector Fixed Income portfolios including SMAs, Mutual Funds, Closed End Funds, and ETFs. 
The team synthesizes the valuations in the securitized markets, the credit and liquidity views of the sector specialists, the risk posture of the Lead PMs, and the investable universe for each portfolio to construct and actively manage customized securitized asset allocations that generate superior risk-adjusted, excess returns. 


Your role and impact:
You will play a critical role in all aspects of the team’s functions and balance your time between portfolio management, investment analysis, and process improvement. You will interface with all members of the Securitized Assets team, the Lead PMs and their teams, Risk & Quantitative Analysis, Product Strategy, Compliance, and Operations.


Your responsibilities:
• Portfolio Management: Sizing and allocating securitized orders, handling the 
securitized portion of portfolio flows, ensuring guideline compliance.
• Product Expertise: Understand the fundamental stories, structural features, and cashflow profiles of each securitized product in the investable universe.
• Market Analysis: Monitor developments in the securitized markets. Perform 
statistical and fundamental analyses to identify attractive opportunities. 
• Portfolio Construction: Customize securitized allocations to the needs and 
limitations of each client portfolio.
• Systems Building: Build and maintain scalable and effective portfolio 
construction, relative value, and security analysis tools.


Required qualifications:
• 2-5 years of experience working in Fixed Income Markets.
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Field
• Highly Proficient in Python and Excel
• Strong Organizational and Communication Skills


Preferred qualifications:
• Experience researching, managing, trading, or syndicating Securitized Credit
• Experience with Intex, Bloomberg, Aladdin
• Progress towards or completion of the CFA designation
• Professional Background in a Quantitative Field

&## xa;For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$116,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.&## xa;
