You’ll be joining a small and mighty team of benefit professionals who are responsible for delivering a suite of incredible benefits for more than 2000 dedicated employees all working to support our key belief that all lives have equal value. This role provides the opportunity to leverage your excellent customer service skills and increase your knowledge of benefit practices around the world

Your Role

As the Senior Benefit Analyst, you will report to the Deputy Director, Total Rewards|Benefits and work in a hybrid remote work arrangement from our Seattle, WA office. You’ll be part of a small and mighty team of benefit professionals who are dedicated to delivering a suite of incredible benefits and supporting more than 2000 dedicated employees who are all working to support our key belief that all lives have equal value. You will support the delivery and administration of the foundation’s health, retirement, and leave programs around the globe.

What You’ll Do  

  • Primary responsibility for the administration of designated programs, including but not limited to U.S. medical, vision, dental, life, disability, leaves of absence, COBRA and other benefit plans and perquisites.

  • Responds to inquiries from employees and internal partners regarding plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general information. Monitors internal Zendesk tickets and responds to benefit inquiries.

  • Administers and maintains all benefit enrollments within Workday and the secure transfer of accurate eligibility and enrollment information (e.g. process enrollments & changes, audits, etc.) to external vendors.

  • Ensure data integrity within our HRIS; develop system procedures, process mapping, guidelines and process documentation to drive consistency

  • Manage annual open enrollment including scheduling of employee information sessions, drafting communications, driving HRIS updates, providing regulatory notifications, and completing enrollment audits.

  • Manage annual onsite benefit fair and flu clinic including scheduling, communications and vendor management.

  • Must be able to administer and communicate regulations, guidelines, and policies established by the foundation.

  • Administer plans and programs in compliance with COBRA, ADA, HIPPA, ACA, Section 125, Medicare, OSHA, DOL, and ERISA regulations 

  • Prepare and lead meetings for new hire onboarding to provide employees with information to understand company benefits and other related incentive programs provided as part of their total rewards. 

  • Assists employees to resolve escalated claims issues and understand plan benefits.

Your Experience  

  • 5+ years administering employer health plans (i.e. group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life, flexible spending plans, and 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans) and related federal and state regulations. Experience analyzing plan cost drivers and plan design.

  • Working knowledge of Worker compensation and Washington L&I claims administration

  • Working knowledge of COBRA, ADA, HIPPA, ACA, Section 125, Medicare, OSHA, DOL, and ERISA regulations 

  • Ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality.

  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization to communicate complex benefit plan details clearly and consistently with the written policy or practices established by the foundation 

  • Strong MS Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional organization skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and produce timely and accurate work.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with Willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to perform process mapping, process change management, and process documentation

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, OneNote, Visio and PowerPoint).

  • HCMS/HRIS usage experience. Prior Workday experience strongly preferred.

The salary range for this role is $127,400 to $191,200 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $138,900 to $208,300 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hires salaries are typically between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
