The Director of Taxation, reporting to the SVP, Corporate Controller, will be responsible for managing all tax matters across the Companys global footprint and will work cross-functionality and globally with Finance, Legal, and People teams across the Company. Communication skills, attention to detail, and an objective approach to scaling and problem-solving is a must!  Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal Taxation as well as Global Tax Compliance required. What you’ll do: <ul> <li>Manage all planning and compliance related to BigID’s domestic and international activities for corporate income taxes, indirect taxation and GAAP tax provision</li> <li>Develop a scalable international Tax compliance function to adapt to business and regulations changes</li> <li>Manage the Global Tax function and all external relationships relating to Tax</li> <li>Provide strategic direction and operational oversight of multistate sales and use tax compliance</li> <li>Serve as a technical expert and subject matter authority in sales and use tax regulations, filings, and compliance processes</li> <li>Assume expertise for new and emerging tax issues, both domestically and internationally</li> <li>Drive transformation of the tax function to scale for growth, which includes people development, process improvement and implementation, and effective use of data and technology</li> <li>Develop and implement tax planning strategies to reduce tax expense, eliminate tax exposures, minimize audit deficiencies, and maintain a competitive effective tax rate</li> <li>Lead the continual strategic review of the company’s international tax structure and transfer pricing policies</li> <li>Drive the tax related element of the annual audit with external auditors, the accounting team, and executive management</li> </ul> What you’ll bring: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance</li> <li>C.P.A. required</li> <li>10+ years of recent/current progressive corporate tax experience, including ASC 740 tax provision and U.S. tax compliance,  preferably in the Tech / SaaS industries.</li> <li>Strong command of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740 tax provision and related GAAP disclosure requirements</li> <li>5+ years of progressive experience within a Big 4 accounting firm</li> <li>Must demonstrate a conceptual and business-oriented approach to communicating taxes and tax planning, and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-tax business leaders</li> <li>Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements, including the use of new tax technology and automation tools</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, as candidate must be able to work and communicate with individuals at all levels across the organization and draft technical Tax and accounting memos </li> </ul> Our Values: We look for people who embody our values - Care, Do,Try &amp; Shine. <ul> <li>   Care - We care about our customers and each other</li> <li>   Do - We do what it takes to make a positive impact</li> <li>   Try - We try our best and we don’t give up</li> <li>   Shine - We shine and make it our mission to always stand out</li> </ul> The annual base salary range is $195,000 - $205,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is just one component of our Compensation Philosophy.
