<div><strong>The Role:</strong></div><div><br />BigHat Biosciences is seeking an experienced <strong>IT Contractor</strong> to provide part-time, as-needed information technology services. This role will support the organization’s IT infrastructure and workflows, including equipment management, onboarding/offboarding, and security audits. The contractor will collaborate directly with the Chief Information Officer and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless IT operations across BigHat’s growing team.</div><div><br />This is a contract role expected to last ~6 months with possibility of renewal, at 10–30 hours per week, with flexibility. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence at BigHat’s Bay Area office approximately two days per week.</div> <h2> Key Responsibilities </h2> <div><br /></div><ul><li>Manage equipment ordering, setup, and lifecycle control, including conference room video/audio equipment and lab computer operating systems.</li><li>Establish and maintain an equipment control process.</li><li>Oversee GSuite administration, including group management, email routing, and security audits.</li><li>Support onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring IT tasks are efficiently assigned and executed.</li><li>Manage and audit access to third-party service accounts and AWS environments.</li><li>Develop and maintain IT and engineering tutorials and documentation.</li><li>Implement regular security audits and human workflow processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.</li><li>Partner with the CIO to establish scalable IT processes as the organization grows.</li></ul> <h2> Total Rewards </h2> <ul><li><strong>Hourly rate:</strong> $75–$125, depending on experience.</li><li><strong>Time commitment:</strong> 10–30 hours per week (with flexibility).</li><li><strong>Duration:</strong> 6-month 1099 or W2 contract (potential for extension)</li></ul><h3><strong>About BigHat Biosciences</strong></h3><div>BigHat Biosciences designs safer, more effective biologic therapies for patients using machine learning and synthetic biology.<br /><br /></div><div>BigHat integrates a wet lab for high-speed characterization with machine learning technologies to guide the search for better antibodies.
