Hackster.io, an Avnet Company, is seeking an experienced operations manager to lead our transformation into the definitive go-to-market platform in the electronic components space.
Candidate must reside in Phoenix, AZ or Hoffman Estates, IL metro area. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum in office.
We’re seeking a highly capable Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of Hackster. This is a mission-critical role that ensures smooth day-to-day execution across our partner services, financial tracking, logistics, and compliance. You’ll work hand-in-hand with leadership to manage internal systems, streamline team workflows, support program delivery, and ensure financial accuracy. This is not just an execution role—it’s a strategic one that shapes how the business scales.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Own and optimize all core operational systems and SOPs across departments
Develop and enforce internal workflows that increase clarity, velocity, and collaboration
Train team members on tools, processes, and best practices
Partner Execution & Logistics
Oversee the back-office delivery side of partner programs, contests, and campaigns
Manage 3PL vendors and ensure seamless global shipping and reward fulfillment
Monitor export compliance (e.g., lithium batteries, denied party checks, known persons, etc)
Financial Operations
Track and forecast revenue, partner billing, and expense reconciliation
Support SOW execution, invoicing schedules, and vendor payments
Assist leadership in annual and quarterly budgeting cycles
Compliance & Contracts
Liaise with the corporation’s legal, finance, and procurement teams
Ensure strict compliance with privacy (GDPR, CCPA), export, and financial policies
Coordinate contract review, approval, and archiving for sponsors and contractors
Tooling & Systems Administration
Maintain and manage SaaS tools used by the team
Evaluate new tools and lead successful team-wide adoption
Triage help desk issues and improve internal support experiences
Culture & Team Support
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance tracking processes
Drive employee experience improvements through team surveys and feedback loops
Champion a culture of curiosity, kindness, and accountability
Who You Are
8+ years of experience in operations, finance, or program management (B2B/SaaS/marketing preferred)
Strong cross-functional communicator who thrives in remote environments
Detail-obsessed, systems-minded, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
Experienced with budget forecasting, invoicing, and financial oversight
Familiar with legal/compliance coordination and contract workflows
Adept with project management tools
Bonus: Familiar with engineering or developer marketing audiences
Work Experience and Education:
- Typically 8+ years with bachelors or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
You have a proactive mindset, love puzzles, and take pride in making things just work.

- $105,000 - 160,000 total compensation range
