Salary Range:
$237,900.00 - $396,700.00This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
Job Description
We are hiring a Sales Senior Manager within the US West Market. The Senior Manager is responsible for the overall management, growth, and direction of your teams’ business as well as providing leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the team. The team is focused upon the ‘territory’ portion of the account pyramid and will be hunting for new logos as well as net new business within the existing client base. Additionally, the Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the development of Account Managers on their team
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of Account Managers covering all accounts in the appointed region.
- Develop and manage the sales force through frequent and direct engagement of the team, individually and collectively, with a strong emphasis on establishing expectations and priorities to ensure individual and team success.
- Coach individual Account Managers on effective use of internal systems including SFDC, CPQ, etc. to achieving annual software license sales goals, maintaining an active and healthy pipeline.
- Coach and develop individual Account Managers to utilize the AVEVA Way of Selling (AWOS).
- Assist Account Managers with the development and on-going maintenance of overall Territory plans and individual Account Plans.
- Ensure that individuals effectively utilize a wealth of centralized company resources available to help them to be successful.
- Engage directly with customers, both existing and new, ensuring that AVEVA develops and maintains a broad and deep set of relationships, upon which our success is dependent.
- Establish and maintain relationships and develop sponsorship with key management and decision makers within the assigned customer organizations.
- Working with the VP of the Market and the Marketing Director, to help shape and execute marketing, partner, and business development activities for the market such as industry events and regional seminars.
- Expedite resolution of key customer complaints and problems. Assure that customers are provided/satisfied with complex technical application assistance.
- Leverage AVEVA global alliances (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, IBM, Accenture) and local partner relationships that can positively influence the purchase of AVEVA products and services on projects in territory and worldwide.
- Develop and maintain a sufficient knowledge of AVEVA core industries (Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Paper, and Life Sciences) and stay current with their trends and issues to effectively align and apply AVEVA technologies to meet customers’ business goals.
- Maintain personal knowledge and skill levels with AVEVA portfolio of products through recurrent annual training within the Company or designated external resources.
- Submit expense reports and practice financial management consistent with company guidelines and using company systems.
- Be a critical part of the overall market leadership team, working with peer Sales Directors, and leaders from: Channel sales, Sales Ops, Customer Success, Pre-Sales, Renewals, Services, Business Value Consultants.
- Collaborate with other Market VPs, Sales Directors, and Industry Principles.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of successful direct sales experience selling to customers at all levels in manufacturing, operations, and IT.
- Strong preference for sales management experience.
- Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred but not required.
- Industry knowledge pertinent to the territory (e.g. in one or more industries: Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Paper, Life Sciences) is helpful.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience in building, retaining, and motivating a high performing team.

Hybrid working
