Apart from proactively supporting research and development associated with wound care and skin care products, your role will include: <ul><li>Completion of design &amp; development deliverables as per design &amp; development planning process.</li><li>Co-ordination of internal testing reports, biocompatibility testing reports &amp; technical file development.</li><li>Supporting product Bioburden, Bioburden validation &amp; sterilisation validation activities during product development.</li><li>Design &amp; Development of new advanced Wound Care, Ostomy, Surgical / NPWT &amp; Skincare Products.</li><li>Attendance &amp; presentation of projects at pipeline &amp; Gate reviews.</li><li>Prototyping of new products, internal reviews &amp; external review for design freeze.</li><li>Supporting regular meetings with customers and internal functional groups for projects.</li><li>Generation &amp; Maintenance of Product Design Files.</li><li>Management of new product introduction projects.</li><li>Material Research, Sourcing &amp; Testing.</li><li>Responsible for the full co-ordination of trials from scheduling to line clearance post trial.</li><li>Product cost development with Finance.</li><li>Quality assurance reviews of R&amp;D Documents.</li><li>Maintenance &amp; improvement of the R&amp;D Laboratory.</li><li>New process introductions, including identification of new equipment &amp; test methods.</li><li>Participating in design reviews and the compilation of associated documentation.</li><li>Supporting product development validation planning, protocols and reports.</li><li>Generating Raw Material specifications, including artwork &amp; label approvals as well as bill of Materials for new product developments and introductions.</li><li>Product, Packaging, Splice &amp; Design Specification building during product development.</li><li>Additional duties and responsibilities:     <ul><li>Attendance of trade fairs and customer visits.</li><li>Safety walkabouts and reporting of potential safety issues.</li><li>Supporting Laboratory Technician activities and aging studies.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the NPD Manager.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline (specializing in Chemistry/Physics /Polymer fields).</li><li>2-5 years’ experience working in a medical device environment, preferably with involvement in product design and R&amp;D.</li><li>A working knowledge of ISO 13485 Design Control requirements.</li><li>Validation experience including Sterilization, process and packaging validations would be beneficial.</li><li>Good Analytical Skill and Problem Solving abilities.</li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills.</li><li>Capable of working in a fast paced &amp; dynamic environment.</li><li>Knowledge of Medical Device manufacturing environments including GMP would be an advantage and are highly desirable.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Please note this is a full-time, an on-site position and remote working is not possible.</li><li>We do not accept unsolicited referrals or resumes from any source other than directly from candidates.</li><li>We are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation for this role.</li><li>This role is subject to right-to-work checks as per local employment laws.</li></ul>
