Avantor is looking for a motivated Inventory Manager Europe to join our team in Haasrode, Leuven! Are you a proactive, motivated team player with a passion for optimizing inventory and leveraging your analytical skills in an internal environment? Keep reading!

As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the demand forecasting and inventory planning processes. You will ensure the right balance between supply and demand, maintaining optimal inventory levels across our local, regional and central warehouses to meet customer needs.

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), planning tools and reporting tools (QlikView, Power BI) is an asset.
  • Fast learner, embrace change and complexity.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, systems and numeracy skills with capability to master complexity.
  • Team player and excellent social, influencing and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

How you will thrive and have an impact

  • Apply analytical and statistical techniques to develop a tactical demand forecast and replenishment plan for your dedicated product portfolio .
  • On a monthly basis revise statistical forecast, make forecast alterations when needed (new market, customer information,…)to minimize forecast error.
  • Determine optimal inventory (MTO, MTS) and replenishment strategy for buy/sell products at our European distribution network containing CDCs, RDCs and local warehouses. Maintain and manage MRP data, ensure accurate and up to date MRP data.
  • Support product life cycle management, such as new launches, initiatives and discontinuations. Analyze the predicted impact of new supplier/product launches, product promotions, or discontinuations.
  • Establish, maintain, report and analyze trends for KPIs for forecast accuracy, availability, inventory and backorder.
