We are at the forefront of the companys <span>product access</span> needs and have tremendous visibility and impact across all of Autodesk. The platform stack is complex and integrated with the desktop as well as cloud products.</p><p>In this role, you will influence the trajectory of our software systems. You will focus on improving the resiliency and scalability of the platform. You will ensure alignment with the latest industry best practices. In this capacity, youll mentor a geographically dispersed development team, elevating the standards of engineering excellence across the board. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director of Engineering.</p><p>This job will be fully remote with occasional onsite workshops/meetings. Position may require occasional travel to APAC.</p><p>This is a remote opportunity with a preference for candidates in Pacific Time zone in US and Canada.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain an understanding of the current systems architecture and functionality</li><li>Develop a strategic direction for the product access platform and ensure that the tactical direction is to support the larger strategy</li><li>Drive broad consensus and agreement across teams and GEOs</li><li>Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutions</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a geographically distributed development team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing</li><li>Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of the platform</li><li>Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the platforms architecture by conducting code and architecture reviews</li><li>Raise the bar within the team and across the organization</li><li>Partner with Product Management and Business leads regarding future platform and technology issues and the effect of decisions on all projects</li><li>Create formal networks with industry and cross organizational leadership communities to develop standards, and foster platform growth</li><li>Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires and evaluation of intangibles</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems</li><li>Have designed and implemented complex software systems</li><li>Broad knowledge of AWS, server programming, databases, and cloud architectures</li><li>Experience working with container frameworks (Docker) and container orchestration tools (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)</li><li>Experience with Microservices, API architecture and management</li><li>Work experience in a global and distributed environment</li><li>Ability to demonstrate clear communications about your architectural designs, decisions and rationale for your design direction</li><li>Technology stack: Java/Spring, AWS/Containers, Go, R, and Python</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-JK2</p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p></p><p><span><b>Learn More</b></span></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><p><b>About Autodesk</b></p><p><span>Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,800 and $260,150. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
