In this role, you will report to the Head of Technology Sourcing and Category Management, and join Atlassians global sourcing team consisting of a highly performing, collaborative group of professionals.

Identify, obtain agreement, and lead transformational sourcing projects, following a standard strategic sourcing methodology that maximizes Atlassians value
Personally lead projects, serving as the primary liaison between Legal, Finance, engineering teams, TPMs and other partners in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including category analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
Establish relationships across the teams to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters
Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to Identify and launch sourcing projects
Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity
Contribute to implementation and change management of process improvement projects across Atlassian
Mentor partners on procurement practices
Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management. Possesses extensive knowledge in sourcing software, hardware, and services, specifically focused on managing indirect spending for organizations.
Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and delivering complex contracts, with an emphasis on technology-related purchases (SaaS, IT, MarTech, FinTech, Benefit, People Tech, Sales Tech, Workplace, and corporate services), including experience working with and influencing IT and business leaders along with supplier executives.
Along with capabilities with an ability to understand, translate, (and ) refine business cases for successful sourcing / vendor relationships
Experienced negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms for strategic contracts
Ability to present strong technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats
Teamwork oriented

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working globally, working with partners, team members, and suppliers
Expertise across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing and corporate procurement activities including sourcing strategies, RFP development & analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiations, contract preparation, and review and analysis.
A clear ability to inspire change, handle conflict, bring together different points of view, make decisions, and achieve OKRs
Knowledge of legal and technology related contract terms and conditions
Knowledge of procurement policies and tools.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidates skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $139,500 - $182,125

Zone B: $126,000 - $164,500

Zone C: $116,100 - $151,575

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
