<ul><li>Develop and implement advanced threat detection mechanisms using machine learning models to identify and alert on adversarial or high-risk behaviours within Atlassian’s systems.</li><li>Continuously improve and fine-tune machine learning models and detection systems to adapt to new and emerging cyber threats.</li><li>Monitor and enhance critical detection systems to ensure their reliability and effectiveness in delivering robust detection capabilities.</li><li>Deploy and integrate new detection technologies and machine learning models to continuously uplift and improve our detection capabilities.</li><li>Collaborate with partner teams, including Incident Response and Threat Intelligence, to establish and maintain meaningful security alerts. Ensure security alerts are relevant, actionable, and aligned with the overall security strategy.</li><li>Work closely with Product Engineering, Data Platform, and Security Engineering teams to advance our detection coverage and tooling in our production cloud environments.</li><li>Automate complex security operational tasks to streamline and optimize routine security activities.</li><li>Stay informed about the latest security trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies to ensure Atlassian is well-prepared to adapt to new security challenges. Engage in continuous learning and remain abreast of industry developments to inform the companys security strategy.</li></ul> <ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in roles related to machine learning, with a strong interest in applying these skills to threat detection.</li><li>Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models for various use cases is must.</li><li>Experience or interest in building effective detection capabilities in modern cloud environments.</li><li>Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, or similar, with experience in building automation.</li><li>Familiarity with security detection technologies and systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, EDR, and authentication systems, is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects.</li><li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.</li></ul>Benefits &amp; PerksAtlassian offers a wide range of perks and benefits designed to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
