Evaluate in-house model development vs. third-party APIs for ML/AI solutions. </li><li>Establish best practices for AI development, quality measurement, monitoring and scalability.</li></ul> Must-Have:<ul><li>7+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, including hands-on work with training/inference pipelines, prompt engineering, and ML systems, demonstrating deep expertise in applied ML.</li><li>Proven track record of tech-leading AI/ML products from conception to launch.</li><li>Strong platform mindset - experience building reusable tools/infras to accelerate AI development.</li><li>Strong programming skills in JS and Python.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li></ul>Nice-to-Have:<ul><li>PhD or MS in a relevant field.</li><li>Background in ML modeling (training/finetuning ML models).</li><li>Experience with chatbots, generative AI, or LLM-powered applications.</li></ul>CompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs.
