In this role, you will: <ul><li>Understand the user journey and user funnel </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with product, design and engineering to influence product strategy and direction </li></ul><ul><li>You will guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features </li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance and customer impact to ensure we build the right solution </li></ul><ul><li>Debug inefficiencies on the team and fix them </li></ul><ul><li>Ship well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code while keeping our customers best interests in mind </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes with security, performance and reliability in mind </li></ul><ul><li>Mentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise </li></ul><ul><li>Improve the growth engineering team through mentoring </li></ul><ul><li>Identify blockers to ensure software engineering excellence (design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, best practices for security and privacy)</li></ul> Your background:<ul><li>10+ years of experience designing/building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices</li></ul><ul><li>Background in Java, Kotlin, Observability tools, and service operations</li></ul><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of AWS offerings</li></ul><ul><li>Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product</li></ul><ul><li>Passion and experience with recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizations</li></ul><ul><li>Success with cross-company collaboration</li></ul><ul><li>Experience influencing and performance coaching engineers</li></ul>CompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidates skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
