ResponsibilitiesData Engineering is a multi-faceted role, where you can have focused or broad set of responsibilities, including:<ul><li>Define metrics</li><li>Instrument logging</li><li>Acquire/ingest data</li><li>Architect &amp; modeling data</li><li>Transform data</li><li>Ensure data quality, governance, and enablement</li><li>Alerting, visualization, and reporting</li><li>Develop at scale and improving efficiency</li></ul> Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Experience programming with Python, or other related object-oriented programming languages</li><li>Have an interest in software engineering demonstrated by previous internships, work experience, projects, or publications</li><li>Knowledge of data structures, in particular how they are implemented and how to apply them to meet data challenges</li><li>Huge Plus: An understanding of the SaaS business model and data structures or experience in Enterprise Software product development</li><li>Proficiency in SQL and relational databases experience</li><li>Demonstrated interest in the Data Engineering field through academic coursework, previous work or internship experience, or personal projects</li><li>Able to commit to a 12 week full-time (40hrs/week) program during Summer 2026</li><li>Currently enrolled full-time in a 4-year bachelors degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2027</li></ul>CompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidates skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
